So after hearing about the year 2012 in my emails, on myspace, facebook, google, in popups, on the news, in books, in school, and just about any other place I go, I decided that it was time that I looked into it. Honestly, I think the idea is one of the dumbest I have ever come across. Weren't we all going to die in the year 2000 as well?

If you choose to google 2012, you will find tons of reasons as to why we are all going to perish. Because we are moving from Pices into Aquarious, because the Mayan calendar is finally coming to a close, or perhaps because 'Planet X' is going to come so close to Earth that it will cause earthquaks and tidal waves and mass destruction?

Do I believe it? Hell no.

We were all going to die when the year turned from 1999 to 2000, weren't we? Did we? No.

No. No. No. No. NO.

Honestly, I don't feel like typing out every reason that depicts why 2012 is starting to be considered our doomsday. To me it's just another year, just another day that we will be living our lives normally. There will be a few monumentous natural phenomenas taking place, sure. But will they kill us? Are you stupid enough to believe that we are going to burn alive? I'm sorry, but spontaneous combustion just isn't a possibility to me.

If you want an apolcalypse so bad then you are an idiot. Those people who are preaching that we must make peace with our maker are starting to get on my nerves. Why should we make peace? If you haven't been doing well up until this point and 2012 is the reason why you pick yourself up off the ground and start being a decent human being then cheers to you. But are we all going to die? No. Are thousands of us? Sure. Why? Because people die every ever. Two thousand twelve is no different. Not to me.

Superstitions are crazy. Do we really expect an acient civilization to really keep writing their calendars out until infinity? They were going to stop eventually. Planet X wasn't supposed to come until 2600 or so but the date was convienently changed. It's just all so stupid. I swear I will throw a boot at whoever decided to throw this on the internet.
