Given the in-character circumstances, weapons and tools are essential to character survival. Those items are also harder to come by now than they were when you could just walk into Home Depot, and are much more valuable. Your characters likely place a very high value on their tools, which is why we insist you—the role-player—keep track of your characters' possessions in an inventory. Stragglers in teams are most likely to share resources, so we would advise the players of straggler characters to keep a team inventory in this forum.
For storyteller access, we'd like some basic information about each item, as laid out in the code below. For most fairly standard items, a brief description (a few sentences) should be enough. These inventories do not go through an approval process, and are more for reference than anything else (that being said, staff members will keep an eye on the inventories to keep monkey business in check). If your character has an unusual or otherwise special item, we would like to see a bit more description to flesh out what it is and why he has it.
Keep in mind that we do expect these threads to be updated promptly when a character finds or makes new items, or loses or destroys old ones. Accurate records are essential to realm continuity.
Copy/paste. Fill out the form for each item. Replace "Item Name" with the name of the item. Give a brief overview of the item in the "description" field, note where the character keeps the item in the "location" field, explain how the character uses the item in the "use" field, and share briefly how and where the character obtained the item in the "origins" field.
ExamplePiece of PipeBrief description: George's copper plumbing pipe is about a foot and a half long and an inch in diameter. It is open at either end, and the cuts around the edges are jagged.
Usual location: George made a special leash for the pipe. It consists of a loop around the pipe connecting to a loop around his wrist. He usually carries it on his left wrist.
Character use: The pipe primarily serves as a weapon. George usually uses it as a club. When he's in a particularly vicious mood, he can also use the ends of the pipe to tear skin. That feature is not terribly dangerous, but it does have a high risk of tetanus.
Brief origins: George found the pipe laying in some rubble one day a few years ago, as it is now. He grabbed it and has held on to it since then.
